The angle bay frame can accommodate three to four windows
in 25°, 35°, 45°, and 90° configurations.
The bow frame provides a gentler curve, accommodating
four, five, and six window inserts and can be angled
at 10° or 15° configurations. Angle bays (except
the 90° angle bay) can fit three or four insert
windows. Four-window and three-window configurations
are identical to one another except that a mull post
divides the center window into two smaller openings
in the four-window version. With this option, all four
windows, whether you pick double-hung windows or casement
windows, are the same size.
Consider a 1⁄4” thick DuPont™
Corian® seat board to be installed
on top of the standard oak or birch boards. DuPont™
Corian® seat boards can be installed
to provide an inlaid or insert look. This option, however,
is not available for windows requiring a tongue-and-groove
hardwood flooring construction such as those wider than
144 inches.
If you have at least one foot of space beneath the overhang,
consider one of our roof cap designs for your bay or
bow windows. If you desire clean and straight lines,
try our hip-style roof cap, available in copper, painted
aluminum, shingle, or shake coverings. Concave roof
caps have curving sight lines and are available with
metal copper or painted aluminum coverings. Painted
aluminum coverings offer you the most diversity, as
it is offered in 31 different colors.
