– Renewal by Andersen® is honored to announce
that it is the only window replacement company in the
greater Denver and Colorado Springs areas – including
Aurora, Arvada, and Broomfield, Colorado (CO) –
to be ENERGY STAR® qualified and Green Seal certified.
This furthers Renewal by Andersen’s® long-standing
commitment to leading the way in environmental care
and has been manufacturing energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly
replacement windows and doors for years. That commitment
is proven by partnerships with organizations like ENERGY
STAR®, which helps consumers choose environmentally
friendly products.
Green Seal Certified Replacement
Windows from Renewal by Andersen®
Andersen Windows, Inc., is the only manufacturer of
commercial and residential replacement windows in Colorado
to earn Green Seal Certification, including complete
certification of all Renewal by Andersen® replacement
windows. Green Seal, a national non-profit organization
that helps consumers find environmentally-responsible
products, has certified Renewal by Andersen® replacement
windows and doors in the following areas:
• No heavy metals in the sash
or frame materials
• Energy efficiency
• Consumer education materials for proper use
and installation
• Clearly labeled performance data
• Packaging with at least 25 percent post-consumer
material

Evanich explained the process of certification by saying,
“To earn certification, we demonstrated that our
products meet energy efficiency requirements and are
manufactured and packaged in an environmentally conscious
manner.”
Green Seal estimates that if every window in the United
States was as energy efficient and eco-friendly as windows
and screens manufactured by Andersen®, Americans
– like those in the greater Denver and Colorado
Springs areas – would save up to 2.5 percent of
the nation’s annual energy consumption. That’s
roughly 200 gallons of oil for every household.
ENERGY STAR® Qualified Replacement
Windows from Renewal by Andersen®
Renewal by Andersen® replacement windows also meet
the performance criteria set by ENERGY STAR® for
all climate regions of the United States – especially
the greater Denver area of Colorado, which can see large
temperature swings throughout the year. Every replacement
window manufactured by Renewal by Andersen® uses
High-Performance® Low-E4™ glass, a “green”
glass for windows, which is 41 percent more energy efficient
in summer and 56 percent more energy efficient in winter
than standard dual-pane windows.
ENERGY STAR® is a voluntary labeling
partnership of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
and the Department of Energy (DOE). Products with an
ENERGY STAR® label, such as Andersen replacement
windows and doors, help consumers save money on energy
bills and protect the environment. ENERGY STAR®
qualified windows and doors are 40 percent more energy
efficient than materials required by most building codes,
according to the DOE. In addition, using ENERGY STAR
windows and doors can cut energy bills by as much as
15 percent.
To receive ENERGY STAR® qualification,
all Renewal by Andersen® replacement windows and
doors sport the National Fenestration Rating Council
(NFRC) label. Renewal by Andersen® was the first
replacement window manufacturer to certify its products
– such as double-hung windows, accent windows,
vinyl windows, and custom windows – on a national
scale. NFRC is a non-profit, independent organization
that tests and rates windows, doors, and skylights so
homeowners can easily compare energy efficiency.
