Announces High-Performance™ Low-E4™ Glass
Next Generation Glass Technology Delivers Ease-of-Cleaning,
Energy Efficiency
Cottage Grove, Minn. (Mar.
31, 2006) — Renewal by Andersen® is pleased
to announce that new High-Performance™
Low-E4™ glass, the next generation of insulated,
energy-efficient, low-maintenance glass, is now offered
as a standard feature on all Renewal by Andersen®
replacement windows and Frenchwood® Patio Doors.
Recently introduced by Andersen Windows, Inc., High-Performance
Low-E4™ glass is exclusive to Andersen products,
including Renewal by Andersen® residential and commercial
replacement windows and doors.
Andersen Low-E4™ glass features
an innovative exterior coating that, when activated
by sunlight, makes cleaning easier, reducing dirt build-up
and reducing water spots by up to 99%. Low-E4™
glass features proven energy saving technology to help
reduce heating and cooling bills. Low-E4™ glass
is, on average, 45 percent more energy efficient in
summer and 35 percent more energy efficient in winter
than standard dual-pane glass. Depending on where customers
live, that can cut energy bills as much as 25%*.
For residents of cities like Boston, Worcester,
and Springfield, as well as areas like Metro West, South
Shore, North Shore, and Western Massachusetts (MA) as
well as locations in southern New Hampshire (NH), Renewal
by Andersen® Boston installs replacement windows
with Low-E4™, which helps reduce energy bills
from season to season. New England winters can be extremely
cold and fraught with snow, while summers can be very
warm and humid. For the best value replacement windows
in New Hampshire or Massachusetts, the only choice for
New Englanders is Andersen Renewal® Boston.
Low-E4™ glass features transparent
metallic Low-E™ coatings, which are applied to
one of the glass surfaces within the airspace, deflecting
radiant heat and letting in visible light. The glass
coatings also can reduce glare and cut ultra-violet
light by 83 percent, offering improved protection from
fading for interior fabrics and furnishings.
“For over a century, Andersen has
continually improved the performance of windows and
doors. Renewal by Andersen® is pleased to be able
to feature this latest breakthrough in glass technology”
said Craig Evanich, president of Renewal by Andersen®.”
Combined with Andersen’s patented low maintenance Fibrex®
material and our exclusive start-to-finish
process, Renewal by Andersen® offers a combination
of products and experience that uniquely positions us
to meet the window replacement needs of our customers.”
