About Ambler

Ambler is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania approximately 16 miles north of Philadelphia.

The area was first known as the Village of Wissahickon, but the name was changed to Ambler in 1869 to honor Mary Johnson Ambler, a local heroine who offered aid during The Great Train Wreck of 1856.
