As environmental concerns continue to evolve past the point where issues may no longer be avoided but instead must be addressed, every little contribution toward helping the environment is considered crucial. Renewal by Andersen® has long recognized the urgency involved in protecting the environment. In fact, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to help others contribute to the cause by providing affordable ways to amplify energy efficiency. We realize that building or remodeling a home is inevitable and therefore, our customers may do their charitable part by incorporating green-seal certified products. What better way to help save the planet than by installing windows that actually increase energy efficiency due to their superior replacement window construction.
A study of identical homes comparing High Performance Low-E4™ glass to ordinary dual pane glass showed a 25% savings on cooling bills, and a 10% savings on heating bills. Savings may vary geographically. As expected with the Renewal by Andersen® name, our customers receive nothing short of superior energy efficient replacement window construction and professional installation.
Our customers can expect the most energy efficient glass. Renewal by Andersen® window products with High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass are over 14% more energy efficient than ENERGY STAR® requirements for all areas of the country. In fact, High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass is up to 25% more energy efficient in winter, and 56% more energy efficient in summer, as compared to ordinary dual pane glass.*
Our revolutionary framing material, known as Fibrex®, was designed, developed, and patented by the Andersen Corporation in the 90s. Aside from being extremely sustainable, Fibrex® has unprecedented thermal insulating properties. In fact, it is ideal for maintaining your home’s warmth in the winter and coolness in the summer.
No other company offers professional installation for your energy efficient replacement windows than Renewal by Andersen®. Our premium windows are tailored for precision so that they are not only compatible but exact for each of your home’s window openings. Even better, our experts professionally install your energy efficient, Fibrex composite replacement windows, offering the best weather-tight seal possible.
All replacement windows from Renewal by Andersen® are energy efficient thanks to our fabulous Fibrex® framing material. Fibrex is comprised of reclaimed wood fiber as well as synthetic material. Nearly all of our reclaimed fibers come from our manufacturing processes. Additionally, since there is no wood staining or painting required, this material contributes to the reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions.
The long-term performance of a replacement window is crucial in minimizing future waste. By selecting a window that is not energy-efficient, durable, and sustainable, you could face having to replace your windows a few years from now.
Thanks to Renewal by Andersen®, we offer replacement windows, including double hung, that are built with superior performance, letting them outlast, outperform, and outshine all other materials available on the market today.
As a voluntary, third-party certification program, The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) aims to ensure the accuracy of window performance labeling and rating. The NFRC rating presents consumers with easy-to-understand product comparisons. Choosing favorably-rated products improves air conditioning calculations, daylighting assessments, heating, and ventilation. You will be pleased to know that all Renewal by Andersen® products rate high under the NFRC system.
As a voluntary labeling partnership of the EPA and the Department of Energy, identifies and promotes energy efficient products as a way to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide. Thanks to our special High-Performance™ Low-E4™ glass, all Renewal by Andersen® products meet the ENERGY STAR® criteria.
As a member of the Alliance to Save Energy, an organization that promotes energy efficiency, Renewal by Andersen® aims to boost energy efficiency through our Green Seal Certified replacement windows. Comprised of corporate executives and members of Congress, the Alliance to Save Energy is committed to focusing on ways to promote energy efficiency.
Due to our commitment to environmental management, continuous improvement, public outreach and community involvement, Renewal by Andersen® has been recognized by the EPA as a charter member of the National Environmental Performance Track initiative.
Every Renewal by Andersen® product helps to aid commercial and high density residential buildings as they strive to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program certification in three areas: energy efficiency, materials, and resource conservation, and indoor environmental quality (ventilation and daylighting).
As a national program of the EPA, Project XL tests innovative ways of achieving the best performance and flexibility for manufacturers, and increased involvement for local communities. The Renewal by Andersen® XL project uses a unique environmental performance ratio measurement that promotes continued VOC reductions on a production volume basis.
As the cornerstone of all Renewal by Andersen® environmental efforts, the concept of sustainability is continually maintained and even improved. Today’s resources must be responsibly managed, so that tomorrow’s environment can be preserved.
As an environmentally responsible citizen of the global community, it is our responsibility to assure that our facilities, processes, and products meet or exceed all applicable government standards and regulations relating to the environment. We recognize our perpetual duty to:
